Our commitment
Restore Orthopedics & Spine Center is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience of our website to be inclusive and accessible to all visitors, regardless of ability or technology.
Conformance standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures we have taken
Our accessibility efforts include the following measures across our website:
Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements, including navigation menus, links, buttons, and form controls, are accessible via keyboard. Skip-to-content links are provided on every page.
Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structure (h1 through h6), landmark roles (navigation, main, footer), and ARIA labels where appropriate to ensure screen readers can interpret page content correctly.
Color contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient color contrast ratios to meet WCAG AA standards, ensuring readability for users with low vision or color blindness.
Form accessibility: All form fields include associated labels and descriptive placeholder text. Required fields are clearly identified. Error messages are programmatically associated with their respective fields.
Responsive design: Our website is designed to function across a wide range of devices and screen sizes, including desktop, tablet, and mobile. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Alternative text: Images include descriptive alternative text where they convey meaningful content. Decorative images are appropriately marked to be ignored by assistive technology.
Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for keyboard users navigating through interactive elements.
Third-party content
Our website integrates with third-party services including Phreesia (patient scheduling), OBERD (patient portal), Google Maps (location), and Google Analytics (site analytics). While we encourage these partners to maintain accessibility standards, we cannot guarantee their conformance. If you encounter accessibility issues with any third-party feature, please contact us and we will work to find an accessible alternative.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to identify and resolve issues. Known limitations include:
Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to remediate these documents. If you need the content of a PDF in an accessible format, please contact our office.
The embedded Google Maps interactive map may present challenges for some assistive technologies. Our full address and directions link are provided as text alternatives.
